Fall Already

Hi All

Mom and I have been busy with Agility classes with Miss Judy Pollard. I am having a great time. We are now in Agility 2. This is a fun class because Grandma Hutchins is in class with Brie and Norah, my breeder's daughter, is in class with my 1/2 cousin Zoey. I am not to sure about this obstacle that tips back and forth called a See Saw, but I am working on it.

I love this weather we are having right now. It is nice and cool and I have been playing with these little funny things on the ground that mom calls "Acorns". I love to pick them up and throw them around and chase them. But since Brie swallowed just over a month ago I have to be careful not to eat or swallow them. I also am having fun playing in the leaves on the ground.

Since it is hunting season I have to wear a bright orange sweatshirt on our walks. So I match mom and we do not walk in the woods because of the hunters out there.

Have a great week.

Now CGC

A week ago Thursday I finally got my CGC (Canine Good Citizen). Now more obedience and beginning of August we start agility with my mom's friend Judy at All Dog's Gym in Manchester. When my certificate, patch and tag come in mom will put up pictures.

Right now I am trying to stay cool. I do not like to go out in this terrible hazy, hot and humid weather. I love it to be nice and cool. Mom has been riding her motorcycle or driving our friends car which has AC.

Well everyone stay cool and drink LOTS of water. Me I am going to stay at the house where the AC is going and I am nice and comfy.

By the way my Grandma Buttercup (Shiba Family) is now a Great Grandma. Her granddaughter Nutmeg had a litter of 5 puppies. Here is a link to see the babies.

Congratulations to Nutmeg and James.

Busy Pi

But last Thursday night I went with Grandma, Brie and mom to grandma's grooming class. Let's just say everyone there found out about the Shiba Scream. I did let everyone know I don't like my tail brush or getting wet. Grandma brushed me and gave me my bath. Then she towel dried me, I liked that. But after the towel drying, grandma came up with this hose and warm air came out. I was not happy about that. But after she was done I looked beautiful. Photo 1: getting a bath with grandma and Laurie. Photo 2: towel drying. Photo 3: Blow drying. Photo 4: ME

Well I have been busy. Today I was with mom donating 2 sets of Pet Oxygen Masks, POMs, to the Deerfield Fire Department. A friend of ours, Charlie, found out about them. So Country Animal Tender, Ltd. donated 2 sets to the Fire Department. Chief Mark Tibbetts said they have been using adult oxygen masks on critters. These are going to help.

Time for my nape I am tired from going all over. Hope everyone has a great day.

New Hutchins Boy

Mom got the news this morning. Mom's cousin Tim and his wife Kerry had a baby boy last night. His name is Lucas Matthew Hutchins. Lucas has a big brother Andrew. As you can tell Andrew is a red head. Yes there are red heads in the family. Andrew and Lucas' grandfather, mom's uncle, was a red head but not has red.

As for me I have been going to obeidence class. I have been doing good. I am able to work some off lead. Mom is happy.
Well time for my dinner and then go out into the world of black flies. Yuck. Have a great weekend.

Skiing Adventure

This past weekend I went cross country skiing with mom and our friend Lynn. I had a blast running around on my lead. Mom does not let me off lead. We met up with 2 Goldens and 2 poodle mixes. 1 Golden and both mixes were not on lead. I was not happy when they came running up to me. Wll on on way back we were going down a twisty hill and I was good and stayed near mom until I smelt something nice on a tree but mom kept going and I had to running very fast back around the tree to keep up. Well mom got to the end of the lead and she fell. I ran right up to her and put my front feet on mom's arm and looked to make sure no one was coming near my mom until she got up. Our friend Lynn took the picture when it happened.

The next day was Superbowl Sunday. That is when I caught up on my sleep from a long day skiing. I was so tired mom picked up my paws and I did not wake up. I was one pooped puppy.

I hope everyone stays warm and sends mom's friend, the Sled dog racers, Snow.

It Is Cold

Some days have been nice. But then we have days so cold I go out and do my business then want back in. Mom likes my coat right now. She says it is nice and soft but come Spring I am going to blow it all and we going to have a fur storm. We feel sorry for our family in Florida, Georga, Tenn and the rest of the East Coast down to Key West. We are all getting the freezing weather. Hopefully soon things start to warm up and we can all spend more time outside.

Today I get to go with mom to the Town Office to register me and her motercycle. I love to go and get attention from everyone in there. Another place I love to go is Drive thrus. I get Cookies.

Well time for my morning nap after I give myself a bath. I had a good breakfast and now nap time.

Everyone stay warm
