Pray for California

Every time mom turns on the car the news is the California fires. Mom has a friend in Utah who is a fire fighter and paramedic. We hope she is doing OK and not in California.

This past weekend I got to see my sister Zen, Great Grandpa Bota, Aunt Moxie, Sarah, Eunice and Mark. They were at the Deerfield CPE Trials. We got to watch Dad and Grandma Buttercup run. Grandma Hutchins ran Aunt AElz. Everyone did good. Now it is time for mom to get going and signing us up for competing and obedience training. Eunice said I look good but need to get rid of the black nose and grow another inch. We will see what the judge says on December 1, 2007 in Fitchburg, MA. Now that the fair is over and no reenactments until March so mom can work with me. By next year we are hoping to go to the Shiba Nationals for breed showing in New York and the Shiba National Competition in Penn. Keep fingers crossed.

This Saturday mom is going to take a course on Amateur Radio, "HAM radio". Her course starts at 8:30am until 6pm and then the test for her licence is from 6 to 7. Right now she is studying so that means Cuffy, Trixie and I have to be good and quite. Speaking of studying mom has to get back to it and Me I get to go to sleep. Lucky me. Today is rainy and cloudy and the perfect day to sleep and do nothing.

Hope everyone is having a good day.

Sad Week in Alpaca Land

My mom just found out the baby Alpaca "Tobias" in Raymond has unfortunately died of the EEE. Mom was the first one to meet him when he was born back in July. Mom was watching the farm while they were in Gettysburg at a reenactment. As you can tell by the picture he was a cutie. That picture is the first one of him when he was only about hour old.

My winter coat is coming in and it is itchy. Mom is going to be giving me a bath this afternoon after she gives an English Springer Spaniel a hair cut and bath. The English Springer belongs to Mr. Tomilson. I hope everyone remembers their ear plugs. I have been told I have a good set of lungs.

I hope everyone is having a better day then me and my mom. Everyone PLEASE use bug spray and cover up and keep a close watch on your pets. Thanks.

Rain has Arrived

We are finally getting much needed rain. But I do not like it when mom puts me outside in the down pour. I DO NOT like getting wet. When I have to have a bath I let everyone know I am not happy. I scream at the top of my lungs, even when I get my nails down I let everyone know I am not happy.

Looks like I have to go out in the rain again. YUCK. But I get to go and meet some friends in Manchester. Yesterday I got to meet a new friend in Nottingham. Her name is Ginger and she is a beautiful girl that is a Black, White and Tan Shiba Inu. She was out walking with her grandma. Her parents are moving to Nottingham or Northwood. We stopped and talked to them a little and walked to the bridge. I had fun.

Hope everyone is having a good day. Mom and I have to go now.

Fair is over

Mom finally got me last night from my grandparents. She said the fair was good but on Thursday their building was a sauna because it was so hot and humid. Mom got to see a lot of people she knows and bought grandma and grandpa sweatshirts and fruit jelly slices. For me I got a marrow filled bone and I am enjoying that. Now that the fair is over we are off to more shows and this weekend mom is going to Winchendon, MA to a reenactment just for the day on Saturday.

We looked on the National Shiba Club site and my family did GREAT at the companion events in PA. My sister Zen was the youngest and she did great in Rally Novice A. Zen took first and her two uncles took second and third. So mom said we are going to be working on Rally and Breed.

Got to go now and take out some dogs. Have a great week everyone.
